Bonnie Asnes, LCSW
I am a very experienced clinician who was graduated from The Columbia University School of Social Work in 1979.
For several years I worked at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services where I worked with adults, adolescents, children and families to help them resolve a myriad of individual and relationship difficulties.
At a community center I led and facilitated mother’s groups focused on helping young mothers manage the challenges of raising children.
My education was then deepened by my studies at the Contemporary Freudian Society where I was graduated from the Adult, Adolescent and Child Programs in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Subsequently I was asked to teach a Development Course in the Psychotherapy Program.
Therapy and analysis can include addressing current and past issues that have impacted emotional life and functioning, parenting and relationships. This can often lead to sadness and anxiety that can be alleviated in the understanding and empathic therapeutic relationship.
Additionally I work with high school and college students to help them resolve conflicts with their peers and parents and inner conflicts that may be interfering with the making of important life decisions that can impact their futures.
I am also the New Jersey representative of the Spring Project, a mission devoted to assisting pre and postnatal women and their families around the birth of a child or children. Often it is very useful for such women to have a therapist with whom to share worries and feelings at these times.
My offices are in Englewood, N.J. And on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
I also work remotely using the platform of your choice.
